OK, Hope this is the last dumb question...

The slim cases on the 1100 RT P that I just purchased have some problems. First, the case on the left side will not disengage from the bike. The key will not turn. Second, hard to believe, but neither bag will open. Is there a trick to opening these bags? What is the best way to get the bag off?

Assuming that I can get these bags to open properly, is there a way to increase the volumn? I have seen some discussion about adding different tops. Would that be the way to go or would new bags be in order?

Does the key fit and the lock tumbler turn? IF that works are you saying that the top handle won't come up?

The key appears to fit. It will turn if I pull it slightly out, but it will not turn if pushed all the way in. The key works on the other bag as far as getting it off the bike, but I can't get it to open either. I guess it is possible that I have a set of mismatched bags...

Try shooting a spritz of WD40 in the tumbler and work it back and forth.
