Help, I have a chance to buy GS Adventure shocks for my standard GS. Both models are '02. Will the shocks fit? Any problems that it causes?
My old war horse needs better shocks.
Thanks to anyone that can help.

They will fit fine, your ride height will be higher by an inch or so. Enjoy the extra ground clearance.

You may want to confirm that your centerstand will work. I think you can get sidestand extensions if needed.

Usually it will hold the bike up, but you wont get either tire off the ground.

Your rake and trail may change a little.

Go advice, didn't think of the stands being effected. I will just try the rear shock on first, that one seems to be the softest.
Not sure how it will effect the raking of my leaves and I know no trail riding.:nyah

Just did the swap on my sons' bike. The centerstand "just" will work, but on any uneven surface or possibly a stout wind, the bike will be at risk of falling. The cheapest way to go is modifying your gs stand a inch or so, that way on resale you can change it back. Don't weld with the stand on the bike, you can fry the electronics.:wave
