When I purchased my 1994 K75 it came with a "wrap around" rubber knee pad around the tank. I've since removed the thing and repainted the tank. However, there is a "gap" between the front edge of the saddle and the tank (where the now-gone wrap-around was).
Does BMW make an alternative saddle for the machine without this tank wrap? Photos of the bike without it don't show this space.

Yes, the one on your bike is called the "low seat", and the one on the green bike in the pic is the "standard seat."

You would be better served to get a Corbin or another semi-custom seat that uses the low seat mounts but fits tightly to the tank.
We have a Corbin low seat that we are planning to sell if you are interested. Send me a PM if you are, I can take photos of it for you.

If you are not going to reuse the pad, i would be interested in it. PM me with condition, price, and a photo if possible.
