oil head throttle body

I have a 2002 r1150gs, the left throttle body has started making a noise that sounds like a loose valve.
I have sorted the noise to the throttle body with the use of a machanics stethoscope.
Are there any suggested cures for this other then replaceing the throttle body?

It is often the case that it's the shaft which has worn, and not the housing. Sometimes replacement shafts can be had from the Bing Agency, which advertises in the MOA ON. Anton Largiader has an essay on throttle body wear and repair on his website. Google will get you URLs for both.
