Interesting-
Along the same lines.... A friend of mine is slowly learning to fly, and bought a fancy flight simulator for his computer- he swears by it. I'd rather jump in a real plane myself, but if it helps him learn... good for him.
I think that this would definately help new drivers become better drivers. I just recently upgraded my class B commercial license to a class A, and was blown away at the driving test. It took nearly 2 hours, and included a lengthy vehicle inspection. I had to do a complete walk-around, point out EVERYTHING on the truck that makes it go, explain what it was, what to look for, and how to know that its safe. I think that between video games (which have the distinct advantage of a reset button) and forcing drivers to know more about their vehicles (ie- do a walk-around inspection as part of the driving exam), we'd all be a little safer on the roads- and as motorcyclists, that would be a welcomed change.
I also think its past my bedtime. -Adam
