There has been a growing debate in Europe, in the article the UK, about the role of motorcycles in the future of transportation. Elements within the EU at headquarters in Brussels have been calling for an outright ban on motorcycles, while in the UK elimination of motorcycles over 650cc has been suggested.
The MCIA has a role of motorcycle advocacy in the UK. This is its current response to the, at times, mixed signals given by Prime Minister Brown’s government.
