I've been dying to post over here. I thought I'd have to wait a few more years with my '85 K100, but that was until tonight...

The word on the street is that there's a low mileage 1970 BMW, you know "...the one with the cylinder heads that stick out the side" up for sale.
I'm going there this weekend to take a look.

So a few questions:

a) What kind, exactly, are you willing to guess and wager, absolutely nothing, is it?

b) When they say "it won't turn over" does it make you cringe or grin?

c) What should I be looking for as good signs?

d) What would make you think twice before even becoming involved?

e) I'm already planning on the first ever to me BMW cafe bike. What to look for?
