For those of you who do not already know, Dick died suddenly yesterday
afternoon. We’re not sure exactly what happened – he was working in the
yard and a neighbor noticed he was down on the ground. I may know more
later.
He would have hated the very thought of a funeral, so we are not going
to have one – we’re going to have a gathering at the house this
Saturday, which is one of the things he enjoyed most. If you can come,
please come anytime – you know he loved a house full of people.
Below is the info we’ll be sending to the paper:
Richard L. Wildauer died unexpectedly Sunday, April 24, 2004. A
memorial gathering will be held at his home at 11801 Hills Circle,
Kearney, Mo on Saturday, May 1 at 3 PM.
Richard was born in Chicago in 1953. He met his wife Pat in 1971. He
was an engineering consultant for the Business and Technology College
for the last 15 years. In his spare time he was an avid motorcyclist.
He is survived by his wife Patricia J. Burch, and 3 sisters, Kiki Stinek
of Barrington Hills, IL, Laurie Frahm of Davenport, IA, and Marilyn
Schaecher of Edwardsville, IL., and the many friends he also considered
family.
Memorial contributions can be sent to Barbara Nicholson, 3382 Thornwood
Drive, Atlanta, GA 30340-4024 and will be donated to the American
Motorcycle Association and the National Rifle Association.
