I have been dying to get out on my R1100RT but the weather and other crap has kept me off of it until today What a beautiful sunny morning! Cold and crisp. I was wearing my new HJC Sy-Max helmet and initially encountered a little trouble with fogging. I have found that cracking the shield a tad will keep it from doing this. Proceeding on with a clear visor I found myself a couple of miles from home when I had to cough. No problem right? BIG PROBLEM! The warm air from my lungs shot directly up to my cold glasses and completely and instantly fogged the lenses. All I could see was the road directly below me and the fog line to the side. Wholly crap Batman! Fortunately I was not in traffic, in a turn or going very vast so I was able to back off the throttle and pull over until I could get things resolved. No more coughing on cold mornings I guess. Whew!

I have the opposite problem when I leave the gym in the morning before work and jam my hot head into my helmet for a 40 mile commute to Miami. My glasses want to fog up for the first 15 minutes until the melon cools off. Either I got to get lasik, quit going to the gym or drive the car. I'm leaning toward lasik....I really hate wearing glasses.

When I was scuba diving we used to either spit in our dive masks and rinse it out or rub some tobacco from an old cigarette butt around on the inside. It worked! Now a days you can buy an anti fogging agent that can be applied to glasses and face shields. I may try some of the commercial stuff in the future. This just happened so suddenly and unexpectedly I didn't have a chance to prepare I think you might be able to solve your problem with some of that anti fogging stuff.
