Has anyone done the conversion from an RT to naked on an 86 R80? What items need to be added?
thanks

It's done all the time--especially when the fairing is wrecked.
Yer gonna need headlight mountin ears and front turn signals and their mounts.
You should really get the correct front turn signal wiring harness, which doesn't have the park light connector. Then, get a bulb holder and bulb so you can have park light in the headlight.
You may need a nut or washer or two to move your ign switch to the side of the headlight.
Not sure how your front brakes get fluid from the reservoir, but on the earlier bikes you should change the hoses. May not be necessary on '85-on bikes.
I really suspect you'll want narrower handlebars.

Kent is back on his game... exactly what he said....:blush
I installed the S handlebar and went to go to shorter cables... My RT went to a R bike, then an S bike, now an RS. I still have the S bars with bar bax and risers. The R bike gave me too much wind, so I did not run that too long and switched to an S fairing, because I don't like the looks of a shield. This is done often and frequently... ain't it great that our bikes are so interchangeable?? :stick :doh
