Hi to all.

Just watched, again, the excellent maintenance CD for K75 / K100 by Craig Roberts. Does anyone know of a maintenance CD for the airheads?

I've never seen the K75/K100 CD you mention but I'm not aware of any CD that documents the maintenance on an airhead. There's a CD of parts called ETK but similar information is already available on-line at RealOEM and A&S Cycles as well as a few other places.

Your dealer can get a copy of the repair manual for you bike. There are also aftermarket manuals by Haynes and Clymers. The Chicago BMW Club sells a series of manuals dealing with routine maintenance as well as the electrics of airheads. BMW also sells a CD of electrical diagrams for the airheads.

The BMW factory shop manual contains excellent information and pictures but it is not an "Airhead for Dummies" manual like the Clymer and Haynes - it assumes that you are familiar with routine service and maintenance practices and procedures. The manual mostly highlights procedures unique to the airhead. A combination of all three manuals is probably a good idea.

The Chicago club manuals are probably the most accurate - it has been noted elsewhere that the Clymer and Haynes manuals contain errors.

Another worthwhile addition to your library is a parts manual or CD. Quite often the exploded drawings will help you figure out where that leftover washer goes.

An airhead dvd would be great! The Clymer definitely has some errors... watch your tourque ratings... when in doubt, there is no doubt.

Also, join Airheads, come out to some tech. days and work on your bike! Great fun... great people!

Airhead CD its kinda a oxymoron. Maybe a VHS or Beta? Or even the Airhead maintance dead sea scrolls. :whistle

There used to three or four VHS tapes on airhead maintenance available. Each tape addressed a different task.

First I've heard of this...any background information? I'm aware of videos created by Ed Korn for special purposes tasks like pulling /2 crankshafts, but nothing for general airhead maintenance.
