Ever since I got my K1200R Sport I've wanted a belly pan to "finish" it. To me, the sculpted lines of the bike were spoiled by the awkward radiator-to-engine gap underneath. The problem was -- belly pans are expensive, reduce ground clearance and, in some cases, require removal of the center stand.

Well, I found a terrific deal on eBay the other day. It's a half-size engine spoiler for about half the price of the others. It's constructed very nicely, fits perfectly and requires no modification to the bike, other than removal of two lower front fairing pieces.

I don't know who made this piece. I've asked the fella who sold it to me, but haven't gotten an answer yet.

Anyway, this might be a solution for some fellow Sport owners.

I'm now off on a newly streamlined commute to work.

Well, apparently this belly pan is a collector's item. The seller's sister got it for him "in Europe" and the manufacturer has supposedly gone out of business.

Does anybody recognize this piece?
