I went to get out my K75 and do some riding today and after sitting a few weeks without being started, the battery was weak and the starter contacts welded shut. I took the relay out and beat it around a while without being able to get the contacts to unstick. Being that all the relay is, is an open close relay, I thought maybe I could replace it with a solid state or just another brand, since these cost $50 at BMW. I went to the parts store looking for a 12V 75Amp relay, and they couldn't find one. I know this is common problem with K bikes and thought maybe someone had come up with a cheaper relay or went to a solid state? If so do you have part numbers? Thanks.

You made me curious. I ordered a relay from Beemer Boneyard for around $60.

Looks like same relay for under $30.
