Well I went to the surgeon this week and he gave me the OK to return to work!
I am 11 weeks post surgery for a total left knee replacement. Physiclly I should be able to return to work and do my 15,000 paces a night but I am not sure mentally!
The wallet says I should go back as sick & accident only pays 60% unless you listen to others that say workers at GM get 100% while being off!
Getting caught up in the garage with the 1977 R100RS going back together, just the cylinders & heads to go back on and reattach the rear drive. New seals and gaskets for all. Spending more time cleaning things up than assembling!
Looking forward to Spring! 4 weeks I hope!

Aheeeeeeeeee! Sir Darby,
Glad to hear you're on the mend. We too are ready for spring to arrive! Guessing Lady S is really ready? Lady Julie is ready! Sir Robert of Fosteria is more than ready to get the new LT on the road. Rumor is most of the Knights are ready for the first Crusade of '08...not sure where it will be...maybe Dogwood Trail? Anyway, it won't be long now before we're all "Riding Like the Wind..."
Aheeeeeeeeee!

I will see my surgeon on Tuesday. Hope he will let me put the walker away. It has only been 3 1/2 week since total knee replacement. Looking forward to riding the LT come mid- April.
Keep up the reports on you progress, it keeps me in thr right frame of mind to keep going.
See you all in Gillette.

11 weeks post-op today. I've been back to work since week 5. Been playing golf for three weeks. Plan to walk the golf course in another couple of weeks. Began riding last week. Installed my Suburban Machinery peg lowering devices and adjusted the position of the shift lever on Thursday, and have been going strong since then. Each person progresses at their own pace, but isn't it nice to have all that knee pain gone! Sooooooooo glad I did it!
