I'd love to. Be there in... 8.5 hours? :)

Can we get something soft to eat? My mouth is feeling pretty good, but I don't want to push it. ;)

Which way are we going ? I smell a deli and a bake shop.I'm thinking I might ride down to Bubba's neighborhood, Greenpernt, for some Polish... Or hop across the 59th St. Bridge and get some Souvlaki in Astoria.

Definitely Andrés Hungarian Bakeshop in Rego Park for some strudel and coffee afterwards :)

Strudel Rocks.

Geez, my local choices here are MacDonalds or Burger King. Man I miss New York.
And it's lunch time too. Thanks a bunch Jon :nyah.

I caved and went to B.K. French fries and "chicken fries". Both things that would be easy to break into small bites, but high in calories, since I'm net eating as much.

It took me forever to eat... halfway through I realized the rest of my teeth still work, and I don't have to chew with only the front ones. :)

Rocky?) into the socket(s), you should be good to go. Happy to hear though, that you got sustenance and will not perish... ;)

I'm sitting in BZ Grill in Astoria, eating an amazingly authentic Greek "Gyro" sandiwch. Succulent slices of pork, and bits of crispy skin (think "whole hog") chopped and slathered with a tangy yogurt dressing with lettuce, toms and bermuda onion on a flatbread.

This place is a must for a future Big Gig. :thumb

Well - think I'll swing down to Brookyln and see if Bubba's back from his MSF thing... Thanks for lunch today, guys! :D

... and it smells really good but I would probably give up one of the kids for a New York deli Pastrami on Rye.

Perfect Pastrami:
Grilled lean pastrami almost crunchy on th edges
lightly toasted Rye (real NY Jewish Rye, not the stuff I get here)
Melted american cheese
sauteed onions
Yellow Mustard.

Pile it high, some chips, and a crunchy dill on the side.

That's it, simple and deliicous, and I can't get one up here.

I still hate you guys:laugh

Tessler, you send me a picture and I'll probably have a stroke!

A diner by my house serves a "slinger". Which is usually ate @ 2 in the a.m. after a night of galavanting. It is a ice cream scoop of hash browns w/onions, then two eggs laid on either side (cooked your way), then two burgers (Steak`n Shake style) laid opposite of the eggs, then cover the whole thing with CHILI and top with cheddar cheese, more onions, a just a little hot sauce so you don`t forget it in the morning. And oh yeah, do not ride behind me! :dance

Heart attack on a plate. Yumm. Sounds good.

During our recent visit to HI, there was a breakfast dish served in most restaurants. Scoop of rice, hamburger patty on top, fried egg on top of patty and covered in gravy. :dunno Didn't try it.

Sounds like a horseshoe you can get around Springfield, IL.
Hamburgers on their buns covered with fries and then cheese sauce.
Breakfast shoe, toast, sausage, hash browns ,gravy.

I live close to Springpatch and have had horsehoes before.

For breakfast, I prefer a BEGGY (copyright).

Two biscuits opened up with the insides up, scrambled eggs covering the biscuits and gravy over it all.
