It's been over 70 and sunny this week in Surf City. I took the old, old bike out for a couple rides, as well as running errands on the new bike.

It was a lovely +13C here yesterday. Very little snow or ice left anywhere, the roads were all clear except for the glacial tailings (sand and gravel). I was out running errands on the GS. Got most of my spring maintenance supplies at the dealer and a few other shopping stops too. Got up this morning and took a peek out through the window blinds to se a winter wonderland of snow. About two inches overnight. Shouldn't last long though, it's supposed to hit +4C today and +10C tomorrow. I hope we don't return to the deep negative temps again this winter. I can deal with the snow, but not so much the cold.

I hate you Ed. Best we have seen up here in Edmonton is 7C a few days ago. Residential streets are still crap. Bus routes and main roads have the glacial tailings, as you call them. And all the melting just freezes over night making a morning ride unsafe. I figure I'm about 20 feet away from a quick scoot. But we are supposed to get some snow in the next few days as well. :( I figure I'm probably 4 weeks away from commuting.
