Gotta give the guy some props. It is rather difficult to run a constant play by play on yourself. He is pretty good at it.

One of my most memorable rides todate was with 12 motorcycle police from Essex, riding to Donnington Park race track.

I was on a ZX9 at the time.

Boy the lines they took and the speed they took them at was impressive. In built up areas and villages, strict adherence to the speed limit, but on lanes like those in the video where it was national 60mph limit, we were nearer double that. But it all went smoothly and safely.

Those guys can ride.

I took a police riding course later as a result of that experience. Until the observation and riding techniques are ingrained, best to say them out loud in your helmet. I became a Washington M/C Instructor last year, passing the exams and riding skills tests.
I quit almost immediately for a number of reasons though. Still, it was an experience.

The intro music sounded so familiar. I know I've heard it somewhere before, I just can't put my finger on it. I'm certain it wasn't a motorcycle video :whistle

But they are on the opposite side of the road ;)

That is pretty impressive. Plus think about how long ago this video was made.

That's because you followed the French system, which resulted from Napoleon being a left handed swordsman!

Brits wouldn't follow anything French, except a 2CV Diane traffic jam! :thumb

Just imagine the same narrative coming through your ears from the S.O. on your autocom... :hungover :hungover :hungover :banghead :banghead :banghead

Would make for a hair raising ride...

Cheers

Denis ( by the way the guy is pretty damned good a calling the play by play)

"narrative driving" is a common police training tool.

It is exhausting. I had to do it once.

Minus the actual voice, thats what goes on between the ears, be it on the motorcycle, in the car or in the aircraft.

You know, it works; 33 out of 33 years accident free.
