how about davy millsaps winning atlanta last saturday night! :clap
i first saw that kid as 12 year-old, going large in the loretta lynn's qualifiers my son was competing in.
ditto with james stewart. he lapped a field full of 250s *twice* riding an 80.
saw ricky when he was 9-10 on kawasaki 65s.
saw torsten hallman, sylvan goebbers, joel robert, torlief hansen, gary bailey, hakken andersen... during their first visit to the usa.

I grew up in the late 70's racing in PA, NJ, MD. I love vintage stuff, favorite bike was a 79 450 Maico Magnum.

i have to say that i liked the maicos, too.... especially the earlier ones with the aluminum coffin tanks. i always thought their front forks were so cool, and when i saw my first bmws with telescopic forks (the /5) their forks were almost exactly the same. it was the first thing i noticed.

Hey Visian, did you catch the supercross race yesterday ? And what do think of these riders designing the tracks and then running away with the race. I think they should have retired racers design the tracks.
