I live in Mississauga, beside Toronto, the great white north. But the last few winters were not very white. Last year I stored my bikes as always only to realize I could have rode all winter.
So what is a good Canadian to do? Well this winter, I didn't store my bike and I went riding once in December (to justify my poor decision):scratch , once in January (to justify my poor decision) and today (to justify my poor decision). Well actucally, it wasn't too bad today.
Spring is in the air. Then I turned on the weather channel only to find out another storm is on the way.
See ya on the road, or in the woods

I managed to get out myself, today. Of course, you are further north by a little bit, so good for you! :thumb
If it makes you feel any better, they are calling for storms around here, as well. :(

Spring is in the air. Then I turned on the weather channel only to find out another storm is on the way. See ya on the road, or in the woods. A few miles down the road from you, the buds are coming out on the trees and it "feels" like spring. Sure we're going to get another dump of snow, but who cares, it won't last. Soon we'll have the bikes on the roads.

Yeah, more storms coming, and just when the roads were getting nice and clear. I got out both days this weekend, with temps in the 30's and the riding wasn't bad. First time since early January, I think.
Lost Bearings-I'd say it was good judgment if you've been able to get out 3 times already this winter. Maybe the coming storm will miss us both and it will warm up for the weekend. :p

I was skiing up north or I would have had the bike out. On the way home we always pass a Ural dealer and I keep thinking I have to get me one of them for winter. What do I see a few kms later, a Ural out and about (oot and aboot). If only I'd come home sooner yesterday. Ah well, maybe today before the weather hits.

Saw two bikes out in Hamilton as I was returning from checking out the possible re-purchase of the airhead I shouldn't have sold. I'm flying to Vancouver this week to get a head start on spring (I hope!)

I'm visiting my son, who is a math prof at Simon Fraser (Surrey campus.) Any suggestions on things to do?
Pretty sure Jack and Olivia are still in TO, but I'm not on their invite list so can't be sure.
We've been lobbying for a Canadian emoticon for ages, but the mods have been too busy to install it. Maybe now that DGT is gone??

If you're going to Vancouver, I highly recommend the University of British Columbia's Museum of Anthropology, on the UBC campus in West Vancouver.

I'm not an anthropologist, but the museum is amazing!
