Hello to all!
I am in search of some good soundbites of BMW motorycles to use in a presentation. You know, the usual stuff; starting, idling, etc.
Does anyone know of any good online places to download this type of sweet music?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and keep the rubber side down.
R1150R.net has a few sound samples (http://r1150r.net) with varied exhausts.

Beemers are too quiet. Couldn't get a mic sensitive enough to record it.

I might be able to help you out. I got a BMW and I got recording equipment. Do you want an R1150RT or an F650GSL? Also when do you need them by? Stereo or mono? Sample rate? Sample Bit Depth? File Format? ... etc.

Referencing them being too quiet. I was leaving work the other evening and a harley guy asked me when I was going to start my bike. I smiled and just drove off!! ;)

Thanks BradfordBenn but my need for the soundbites has since passed; although it would be nice to have some "BMW music" online instead of the usual Harley and Squid bike noise.
Ben, you should record them anyway just to see if it would work, and yes Cliffy and ScottM comments about BMW's being too quiet or quiet, well, you both may have a point there! I passed a group of bicyclists this weekend (we had the Tour De Georgia come through here. Lance Armstrong won of course!) and I stopped up the road a bit to wait for some riders to catch up. Upon my wait, the group of bicyclists caught up to me and pulled over to comment about the quietness of my RT. One guy claimed he "Never heard me go by him" and another further commented the Beemer was quieter than his Goldwing! Nice group of guys they were.
As for my need of soundbites, I ended up utilizing some "varying" motorcycle sounds I found online for a Powerpoint presentation to one of my college classes last week. I promoted "safe" use of motorcycles and the benefits of traveling by motorcycle. I am happy to say that it went over well among the "kids" in the class (yes, I have a lot of 18 to 20 year olds within my class. I'm the "Old Fart" among them). I even ended up giving a bunch of them rides as most never even thought of getting on a motorcycle; too dangerous is what I heard from some. I do believe I converted a bunch over to the thrills of motorcycling "safely" (NO SQUID RIDING) and I am contemplating starting a motorcycle club on campus.:bliss
Thanks Reed and BradfordBen for your help.
