I want to put a Fast Trak bridge toll device on my 2000 1150GS, with a stock windshield.

Has anyone here put the device on the inside of their windshield?

Will that work?

How does it hold up in the rain?

Will the device work in a tank bag?

Thanks

Bill

I do not have a Fastrack box, but from what I've read in the Murky News Roadshow column, if you do have one and the license plate on your bike is registered with them, even if it doesn't work, they'll figure out it's you from the photo they take and charge your account.

To answer your question: yes on both counts. I have had mine in the clear plastic "map" area on my tank bag. I also put some velcro strips on the underside of my Dakar screen and they have worked. With the velcro strips installed I can move the device from car to bike and back in seconds.

Also like DarrylRi said. If those for some reason do not work they will find out who you are from your license plate and take it out of your account. Just make sure your bike is registered. You can do that online.

The only time it did not work was when I put the device in my sleeve pocket.

I keep mine in the tank bag map pocket and it registers at all the bridges. Before that I used a handlebar radar detector mount which worked well enough also but seemed to take up too much space. Good luck..........................Peter
