Man,
TV Doctors have all the luck,

Doctor Gregory House got a new ride.

The Repsol Replica CBR 1000 was auctioned off for charity so the good Doctor got a new ride... MV Agusta 1000.

I'm surprised Wilson would lend him the money for a new ride!

Now hold on......don't believe everything you see on TV. Those hollywood writers have very vivid imaginations, and "poetic license" is liberally used!

I do like the bike, though.

I much prefer Laurie's earlier works:

Well actually I know several folks who ride and walk with a cane, or have other handicaps that one might think would keep them from riding, I even knew a guy who raced with a hook due to loss of his left hand. Now that took some balls! I think a bike with handicap tags is really kinda kool, it really throws some folks off! Ha Ha!

i did for a bit last winter. just strapped the cane to the bag mount. my fellow rounders gave me a bit of a funny look at our mid winter breakfast last year. i sorta had to "lock" my leg into position and not move it while riding. it sure was sore after only about 130 miles.

and ben, Laurie is best in the last season of Black Adder i think, the WWI one.

Nobody does British Twit like Hugh. What amazes me is that he has no trace of an accent on the TV show. By the way, he's an accomplished musician and when he plays guitar or piano on the show he is actually playing what you hear.

then how come his fingers aren't moving? (just kidding!)

I was surprised when I discovered he was English, does a great American accent for sure.

Reminds me of the holo Doctor on the Star Trek version with Janeway when he sings, its really him singing if I remember correctly. Quite the voice.

on the other hand when Spock did that single record back in the 60's it was TERRIBLE!! and I just heard captain Kurk's version of Hey Mr. Tambourine Man on XM the other day, another recording that should be banned for eternity and ALL copies disposed of permanently!:laugh

perfectly accent-less.

there was a discussion about his uncanny "perfect" american english over on the house message board.

don't ask:laugh

And some of my favourite of his work without music is verbal humour with Stephen Fry:

And I'll post a slightly racy one over in DGT...

I posted it, but I have no idea how long it was there or if anybody saw it. And I wondered if it had anything to do with the plug being pulled...if so, I aplogise to DGT fans. I received no warnings or other communications from mods, so I assume that it was acceptable within the stadards of DGT.

I figured Campfire wasn't the place for it, since the suggestive word-play in the sketch rather pushed the boundaries of puritanical American standards.

If none of that sort of thing offends you, search on You Tube for a Fry and Laurie sketch called 'Hardware Store.'
