04 RT DIP clock is supposed to show time all the time- at least it used to- now when I turn off ignition display goes blank and when turn back on it goes to
00:00. Any ideas???

Are you able to start bike? Sounds like battery is not providing sufficient B+ to keep clock running.

Bike starts fine- new battery two months ago

Does the clock have it own small battery, like a computer? So each time the main battery is removed, it still stores the time until the main battery power is restored.

clocks use so little power I would think they don't need to be wired thru the switch, the clock on my LT is always on and gets it power right from the battery, I would think all are like that, seems strange the clock would stop working with power off if it didn't before, then come back on. Maybe its something to do the computer module (if the 04's have them).

IIRC someone had clock trouble a few weeks ago. turned out to be the fuse, i think it was also noted it affected the accessory plug as well.
