Installation was easy, but take your time and create slack in the wiring before tightening. This involves snipping existing zip-ties and reapplying. Removing the windshield and headlight provides easy access. Simply repositioning the new ties will create enough slack, but you can go farther back to the tank and find even more slack in the "trunk."
This is also a good opportunity to find and repair cracked wiring sleeves. The sleeves around the wiring for the heated grips on my bike were beginning to wear from rubbing on the zip ties that are threaded through the bars.
Existing BMW windshield mounts are also reusable with minor "cold setting" when you reattach the shield. No big deal - you probably moved them as much when you first installed the mounts.
If, like me, you are "hobbit like," you may find the riding position more comfortable, especially when you have to duck lower behind the 'shield on cold days (like today). I didn't expect this, but the vibrations in the grips seem to be attenuated some, too.
Moto Techniques was friendly and professional. There was a minor problem with my order, but they more than "made it right" with no prodding at all. Highly recommend. :thumb
