I have an idea to put armrests on my RT so as to keep my significant other more comfy! I've already customised the backrest on the trunk, and now need armrests!
Has anyone done or seen a setup of this nature for an R1100RT?
I'll probably hear that I should just get an LT, but we love :hug our RT!

I have not seen any commerically produced armrests for the R100RT, but you could have a welding shop put together the frames. Then you can bolt them to the luggage rack under the rear luggage piece. Cut some plywood pieces for the pads and have them upholstered. Paint the metal work black and you are good to go. If you can get one of them to swing up it will make for easier access.
Better yet, tell your wife to rub your back or hug you while you ride. She/He don't need no sticken' arm rests. (just kidding :) ).
