I am wanting to adjust the clip-on bars of my 2004 R1100S by rotating them a little outward. The bars on my bike are the "comfort bars" that clip on ABOVE the fork bridge. I loosened and removed the bolt on the clip-on, but it didn't rotate around the fork tube - it is loose but locked. Do I loosen the fork bridge clamp and rotate the tube along with the bar? Seems to make sense to me.
Thought I'd ask for a little guidance. Clymer book doesn't cover this too well.
Thanks for your help.

the bars on the R11S can only be adjusted to go above or below the triple clamp; there is no option for rotational positioning. the only alternative you could seek for changing bar positioning would be to get a set of RapidDog's BarBacks. If you have not already done so, you want to go to http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/index.htm, then clik link for Tech Forums, and look for the R1100S/R1200S subfolder. Best model specific site on the net! After registering, do a user search on Rapiddog, or a subject search on custom barbacks- you'll find what he has available.
