This affected my K and one of my F bikes and could also affect the G or R bikes so am posting this in Campfire.

Went to plug in the charger to the K and thought I heard a slight pop but didn't pay attention. Then I plugged in the cord to the charger. The red flashing light said it wasn't hooked up properly. I jiggled the plug at the bike's outlet and the red light went steady for a while then back to flashing.

Will shorten the process. I then tested the charger on one of the F bikes. It flashed red. Tried it on the other F and it was a solid red.

So, I unscrewed the connector at the plug end of the charger. Low and behold, one of the wires had come loose from the screw. It also appeared that it was soldered solely to hold the ends of the wire together.

I placed the wire back in and tightened the screw then rescrewed the cap of the plug.

Nothing still worked except on one of the F bikes.

The commonality, apparently, was the two non-working bikes were fuel injected. I also noticed one of the F bikes would not hold the time and would revert back to 00:00. There was also a noise behind the tach with a slight buzz of the needle. It started right up.

It suddenly made sense. The K bike popped the "steckdose" fuse which means "outlet." Taking off the cover to the non-charging F bike showed the outlet fuse also popped.

So, if you start getting a non-charging condition, unscrew the collar of the charger's plug. If the wire's undone, it appears it can't be fixed. Also check your fuses - this will save you a lot of time.

Just thought I would pass this on. I wasted a lot of time trouble-shooting.
