I just put my /6 back together with the S fairing but I need some help with the hardware at the turn signal stem area. Can someone take some close up pictures of the inside and outside of the fairing area? I only have three pieces of hardware that came off. One is a big rubber gasket that is squared on the edges. Then there is the odd shaped solid rubber gasket and the aluminum cap. Looking at the microfiche is confusing a bit as it looks like I should have a few more pieces.

Any help is appreciated.

Steve

The inside retainer is like a "C" and pinches the lamp stalk to secure it in place. There is a rubber "washer" beneath it.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Bob. That does help for the inside. Now what about on the outside, against the turn signal housing itself? The only piece of hardware I have left is the rubber washer/gasket that is squared on the edges.

Thanks again,

Steve

Steve,

The photo on the right is the outside view. The rubber washer fits against the fairing. This piece is 30 mm OD; it fits very snugly around the signal lamp stalk. This was placed by my local certified Airhead mechanic. Even with the original drawings from the fairing kit it wasn't clear to me. He set it up this way and it has held just fine.

Thanks Bob. I guess I was just seeing the left picture and not paying much attention to the outside look. I will see what I can come up with. The inside makes sense to me.

I appreciate the help,

Steve
