Hey all you California MOAers! Join us for some coastal camping on a small, grassy bluff on the ocean at one of the top scenic campgrounds in the US. A short hike and you're on the beach. Weather permitting. If it's raining it's canceled. Weather outlook: Cloudy, 63F during the day and 44F at night. If you don't want to camp and you're out on a ride, stop by and say hi.

Where: Kirk Creek Campground, 29.4 miles south of Big Sur or 12 miles south of Lucia, on west side of Hwy 1 just yards north of Nacimiento-Fergusson Rd.

When: Arrive afternoon of Saturday Jan 19th. Camp overnight.
Bring your own food and beverages.

Kirk Creek Campground:

Location: Big Sur Coast
Description: Located on open bluff, 100 feet above sea level.
Number of Sites: 33 units
Directions: Take Highway 1, 80 miles North of San Luis Obispo or 35 miles south of the community of Big Sur.
Activities: Hiking, fishing, beach access
Facilities: Flush toilets, trailhead parking, developed water, accessible tables fire rings and grills, bike campsites available. RV's no longer than 30'.
Special Rules: Kirk Creek is a campfire-use site. Maximum stay is 14 days.
Fees: 22.00 per night, per site. Sites accommodate 6-8 people and 2 vehicles per site. Bicycle or walk-in tent camping is $5.00 per night.
Reservations: First come, first served.
Seasonal Use: Open all year.
Helpful Hints: Nearest store in Lucia. Nearest dump station 40 miles south to San Simeon State Park. Large amounts of Poison Oak on trails. Campground host sells firewood.

i have camped there before... right after riding down the hill on the naciemento-ferguson road.

i really need to add that to the campsite's list of great MC campgrounds.

wish i could ride out there and join you stephen...

I also would like to join you, but the wife says I have to be in Milpitas on Sunday morning for a multi birthday celebration at our fav place for dim sum.
