I hope someone could offer some suggestions as to what is going on with my bike. I went to raise the windscreen and it only raised about 2 inches, then stopped. If I push the button down, it goes back down, but then won't raise. I then turned the key off and turned it back on. It went right up. Any suggestions? It's not freezing like I have water in there. She's been in a warm garage all day. This is the first time it's happened. Are there places that should be lubricated? Thanks.

You may want to replace the relays. My up relay did the same thing. They are interlinked so it is easier to replace both than to figure out which one is bad. imho
Good luck!:brad

There are contacts in an electrical relay so maybe you could hit it with Electrical Contact Cleaner spray first to see if that helps / fixes the problem before you just yank them out and replace them.
In my experience, relays have plastic covers / boxes that can be removed, exposing the internal circuits (guts) to view. Hit all of that with electrical contact cleaner spray, then put it back together and plug it in. If things work, seal the box back up with a light smear of a silicone sealant (to seal things from moisture and dust), then RIDE! BE FREE!!!

I had the same problem on my wife's R1100RT riding home from the Vermont Rally in the rain. The windscreen would not go up so I lubricated the slides and it has been working great ever since.
