Found an ad in Popular Science for this. I am skeptical as always.
If I were to come up with something like this that was real I would license it to the car companies and live large for the rest of my life. So why are these people selling by magazine ads???

Popular Science is on my blacklist. Just WHERE are the jet packs we were all supposed to have by the year 2000? Their plans for building my own amphibious vehicle were kind of lacking, and they hyped global cooling enough I was looking forward to it. Summers can be annoying.

The old adage "If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is" comes to mind.

I love Popular Science just for this reason...science fiction...I've got copies going back to when my grandfather was young...and the one common thread is the endless supply of scam advertisers with products that haven't seen adequate design reviewor testing...just imagine how many people have been burned over the years by the snake oil salesman that love to advertise in that mag. This looks like a job for the Mythbusters

So I am pretty bored at work, and actually took the time to watch the 20 minute video on their website. In the last minute of it, I laughed out loud when they said "you won't ever have to change your oil again, and our specifications should clear up any warranty issues that you might have." :laugh

the science behind this is faulty, sounds like the "high mileage carb" stuff from the 70s.
