I just got a new Odyessey battery in the mail and according to my volt meter it is fully charged. Is there any reason that I should not plug my battery tender jr. into the bike after installing the battery? Thanks, I know your answers will be prompt and accurate.

No reason not to. If it is fully charged the BTjr will go into float mode and keep the batt at full charge while sitting in the garage.

What John said. Personally, I'd make sure it was charged before installing it and attempting to start the bike.

Thanks for the responses, I was pretty sure that would be the case but when I read the charging instructions that came with the battery they did not cover charging rates as low as you get with the battery tender.

John:
I used to charge the Odyssey I had in my airhead RS with a Battery Tender Junior, about 2 or 3 days a month in the winter. It worked fine.
