Hi everyone,
Well I've just joined the club; couldn't find where to introduce myself, so here I am.
I first owned a BMW (R60/7) in 1971 at the tender age of 17. Lost contact after an accident which left said motorcycle in the scrap yard.
Have ridden 'bikes, on and off, since then but it took my emigration, from UK, to get back on a Beemer, R1100RT.
I am short in the inseam but cannot bear to part with my 'bike, having advertised it continually, due to it's magnificent riding capabilities. I'll be looking at the seat adjustment before warmer weather.
My registration reads 'Royal' due to my HM service history with the Royal Marines; Royal being the name we're known by onboard ship.
I shall try getting to meetings as, so far, I've been ignored within 'meets' as being a Brit, flags, and/or the only Beemer amongst 1000's of HD's and the like.
Although in CT I'm looking to relocate, so please give me a toot or wave if you see me; I've also been known to buy a pint or two!!
Maybe I'll work out the photo thing soon and bore you all with my image.

Welcome to the MOA and the MOA Forum!

I've moved your post into the Campfire section, which seemed like the best place for it. You'll probably get more response here.

You might also want to fill in your profile (look under the User CP at the top of the page) so that people know where you're located. This could help you to get more information on local clubs and activities.

If you hunt around in the How Do I... section you'll find threads on how to attach and/or link photos in your postings.

One of my late friends could trace his ancestory back to a soldier of the 24th Foot.

If you rent the movie "Zulu" staring Michael Caine, you will get the idea.

In any event, be sure to post pic's for your bike

Thanks for the welcome guys.
The Dream Ride was in Connecticut.
I believe they were knocking at the $1000,000 mark!!
It was a 60 mile ride with police escort all the way.
Weather was perfect!
I'm not sure whether it's an annual occassion, will find out.
Have a great day.

I can't go far, as I have a special needs child. It was great when all the Harley's came to the Hospital when she first got sick. A bunch of biker gals came in her room with all kinds of toys, and I stage whispered to my daughter, "Don't tell them Daddy rides a BMW!" :laugh We gave most of the toys away, she still can't really "play". We kept the HD hat and backpack though.
