At this time we do not know if he was speeding or the 81 year old driver just cut in front of him. In the paper it says he missed the SUV but clipped a small passenger car and went airborne. He had on a full face helmet and other proper ridding gear.

That area of Lancaster county is notorious for crashes and traffic problems.

It was a warm out and alot of bikers were out taking advantage of it.

Terribly sad--especially when it's such a young rider. My condolences to the family and all concerned. . . .

That incident could be any of us at any time. I keep reminding myself of this fact. We have no control over other driver's mistakes regardless of how many years we have been riding or our experience.

High Regards to all!

Makes me wonder if there is anything we, as a club, or just local riders, could do for the family. They may not want to hear from any riders at this point, especially if others in the family dont ride, and had warned him about it being a dangerous sport. As mentioned, we all deal with this in some degree every time we ride, so we know how real it is and how difficult it must be for the family.

As more details come out; it is looking more and more like the driver that turned left in front of him was at fault.

However, we all must be ready for this to happen to us at any time. Young or old we are all at risk for the "no see ya left turn jerks"
