synthetic oil and valve tap?

i have a 2002 rt with 47k and am wondering about switching
to synthetic oil next replacement . any opinons? experience?
also after hi-rpm ride when coming to a fast stop i hear what
seems to be valve or lifter type noise. valves are adjusted .?

Synthetic oil good if you have to start the engine in lower (20 degrees or less) temperatures. I use it in the transmission of my Toyota ECHO because its shifts better when its cold. I doubt very much whether it will make the noise you are experienceing go away. When I used it in my R90/6 (admittedly with a lot of miles, over 100k) I got leaks.
