I have a '92 R100GS, so I watch the eBay prices on similar bikes. My observation in general is that the typical price ranges from $4500 for a bike in good condition up to the $6000 range for pristine bikes. PD Models are $500 to $1000 higher than non-PD bikes of similar condition. Not many PD models have not appeared on eBay lately, so collectors may be starting to hoard them.

I have not found anything nice close to $6k...I did find a show room GS with 9K miles...3 seats, bags, you name is perfect condition...they are asking $10k...very high, but the bike looks and runs like new.

I would think that you could not find one for any less than 6K, any of the PD features easily 7K; realistically probably more like 8K or 8.5K that a collector will lay out for a mint condition GS. I hate it..., but that is the reality... out of my league, sad to say... my food for thoughts... :eat :bottle

Here's the basic info on mine...
Some background on me, to give you the “warm and fuzzies”, I am a bit Obsessive-compulsive and this directly translates to how I care for my bikes… in short I fix everything, optimize everything and can’t really stand for something not being/working 100% (some minor cosmetics aside). I would not hesitate to ride this bike anywhere right. This is my sixth BMW (fourth airhead), I worked at my local BMW dealer years ago and learned quite a bit while premium dealers still worked on airheads. The bike is kept in my heated garage, and plugged into a battery tender when not on the road
