Any world travelers out there that have been to Germany? I am being sent to Zulpich and Euskirchin. They are small towns between Frankfurt and Cologne where I will be attending a converence for two days. I have been granted a Saturday of recovery from lag, and Sunday to sample the local culture.
Aside from the beer halls (of which I will sample) is there anything else in this area of interest? Is it worth taking the train back to Cologne on a Sunday? I would think most everything will be closed.
I'll need to return immediatly after the conference so no other time for enjoyment of the trip. I'll be spending as much time in transit as actually at the destination. Bummer.
