Considering a Corbin seat for my r1200s, cannot decide on the material selection, any input??

I went with the leather and like it. Not too hot in the summer, not too cold in the winter.

I agree with leather...costs a little more but well worth it in the long run.

I ordered leather on my GS seat. Be aware, they only use leather on the face side. The sides are vinyl. Very thin vinyl! I picked up by bike from a service and noticed the vinyl was ripped just from them removing the seat and setting it down on the table. Right where the material folds around the pan.

I called Corbin complaining about the thin, fragle material used a "dirt" bike. I was told they never use leather on the sides of the seat. I reminded them I paid extra for a leather seat cover and was blown off. Unfortunately I bought it directly from Corbin. Let a dealer order it from a supplier, such as Rocky. Corbon will not service an individual customer, but will work with a supplier. Just my two cents. I love the way the seat fits my butt, but they have a horrible customer service problem.

I love the comfort of my Corbin, it is harder than the other aftermarket seats that appear to be more comfortable in the begnnning but after all long hauls I seem to be the only one that is still comfortable. I had adjustments made to it after one year and they only did half of what I ask so I agree that they only care about the sale. They cater to the HOG crowd so us picky BMW riders are not there priority. Leather is the way to go however I've riden from 25 Degrees to 105 and never had seat issues or comfort issues, no pinching or even sweating as long as you are dressed properly. The best thing to do is see if they will use your seat pan? They use a standard one and after getting my Corbin it was much wider and higher than the original so if your close on height you'll want to note that when you order. I'm 5/10 and when I installed the corbin I could not touch on my r1150gs so that was my major adjustment because before that I could touch perfect.

I have a heated Corbin for my GS. I think it is way to heavy but comfort is great. Too wide and is harder to reach the ground. If I had it to do over I wouldn't go with Corbin for those two reasons. The plus just doesn't outweight the weight and added height.
