Howdy-

I want to start taking more action photos during the rides, but I am not quite as brave as some of the others at just holding the camera out and shooting. I have been thinking about getting a RAM mount from CycleGadgets (http://www.cyclegadgets.com/Products/RAM/ram.asp?prod=CAMERA).

Anyone use one of these or another attachment method?

Thanks.

Just what I need... something else to do with my tax refund check. I've been waffling over purchasing a water resistant camera for use while riding, I think this mount just put me over the edge.

Same reason I got the Canon Powershot, there is an optional waterproof case.

Which of the assorted Powershots did you go with? I am leaning towards the Pentax mostly because of it's weather resistant qualities and small size. I figure something small enough to live in my Roadcrafter wants to be happy in the rain (this is Seattle after all). I did see they have come out with a 4.0 version...

If you want to see some pictures, check out the thread Are you a digital photography nut (http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1712)

The waterproof case is a $160 option.

I've got an S400, but weatherproofness isn't part of it's MO.

Takes a nice picture, though.

KBasa-

I think your camera might be busted. It seems to take some odd pictures.

1) Why does the vodka look red?
2) I did not know that BMW made a VFR model.

To add something constructive to the conversation instead of some random photos, I use a credential holder as a tether. I loop the tether around my collar and stash the camera in the big upper right pocket my 'stich has. I can reach in with my left hand, power up the camera and take some snaps while I'm riding.

If I have a problem, the tether is long enough that I can drop the camera in my lap and pick it back up when I can give it my full attention again.

Yep. I loop the camera's strap around it.
