A few pages back is a photo of Barley upside down in a chair with a tennis ball in his mouth. He was just a yearling then. Here he is this weekend at the National Sidecar Rally, hamming it up for his adoring fans. He's becoming quite the accomplished sidecar dog!

Words can't describe what it was like losing my pitbull, Ty, in September. I still miss him terribly. However, after a long campaign, my husband is giving me this little guy for Christmas. His name will be Stoney and he comes home on Tuesday. Something tells me he is going to be a handful!

This is a picture of Sammi, our Springer Dinger - she's looking sad here because she's missing her brother Ozzie, our Cairn Terrier, who after 15 years had to leave us for the other side.
We're giving Miss Sammi lots of love and attention She's doing pretty well - just having some lonely moment, as the rest of us.
Btw - photo taken with the camera on my mac book pro - pretty nice quality, I think.

Our newest member of the household, JoJo...Helen rescued her from the neighbors New Years Day.
She has been in a 10X20 fenced dirt run for the last year. She previously ran their property...the new wife didn't care for her...she had other dogs. Helen asked if she could walk her a few times and we always gave her a treat and petted her when we were out walking. She was very timid from being yelled/beaten it seems. After Christmas, the husband PO said "why don't you just take her...I feel bad for treating her like this"...so we did!
She's a bit ADHD:banghead and making some adjustments to having caring owners...but :thumb still a great dog...so far

Makes you feel good, doesn't it? And she'll pay you back with lots more than you can possibly give her - but you already know that. We have 2 rescue shelties that just help make life complete.

This is Tadcaster playing in the snow. He's my best dog, Master Hunter, devoted companion, and five years old. He has an extremely aggressive form of malignant lymphoma and I won't have him much longer. I cherish each day I have him and spoil him rotten so he knows, when his time comes in a couple of months, that he was loved more than most dogs can even dream of.

This is JoJo, a rescue from one of our neighbors. She used to run the acreage around her home when we moved out here. The PO's new bride ,who had other dogs, locked her up in a 10X20 open pen the last few years and she withdrew.
Helen started giving her treats when we walked by and finally the owner asked her if we would take her in...been a sweetheart ever since and really loves being a house dog with interacting people.
