View Full Version : Wunderlich GmbH (R & K performance parts)
FWIW (Wunderlich GmbH) -
For the lastest and greatest in performance parts, pieces, and prices, check-out the following website: http://www.r1200s.com/
Hit the shop button for your particular motorrad model, and get ready for your eyes to glaze over. Sure, the site may be in German, but the $/Euro conversion transcends all languages.
Many Merry Happys....
J.K. :wow
P.S. Although I querried my r1200s, this site is applicable to all current BMW Motorrad models.

Neat stuff includes throttle locks, handlebar mirrors, carbon fiber body parts (fenders/oil pan...), sport mufflers, seats, stands, filters, and temp guages, among others.
J.K. :wow
P.S. For example, this thermometer cap looks interesting for those flying over wet bridges that are about to freeze.

I had one of those thermometers on my R1150R. You better know your centigrade (easy enough at zero, but black ice can form before ambient readings reach freezing), because the Fahrenheit numerals are so tiny that they are impossible to see without a magnifying glass.

Some very nice stuff. Wish I read German better. I'm surprised they don't have an English version - or did I just not find it. I followed the link over to Santa Cruz, BMW but they didn't have much to offer and none of what interested me..

Hi Fred -
+5 degrees C is a good number to remember for black ice, given gauge error.
At +38F and below, which equates pretty close to +5C, things can get a slick as snot. Factor in sand acting like marbles, and winter riding is always dicey, even if the road appears clear and dry. From thaw to dew, ice is ice, especially when approaching intersections warmed by idling/dripping cars.

OMG, that is even better than an IKEA or a Victoria's Secret catalog. They have chains! And lots of stuff for the CS and the Funduro.
Christmas is coming early!!!!

Hi Randy -
Of all the vendor sites, foreign and domestic, I've come to the conclusion that Wunderlich out-BMWs even BMW. From accessories to performance upgrades, the bells and whistles offered are absolutely outstanding.
J.K. :wow
P.S. Comparing the ratio of Euros to Dollars, one quickly discovers how aggresively this Administration has devalued/sold our Dollar down the river. It's not the inflated cost of oil, rather the deflated value of our Dollar that drives current gas prices and other foreign imports.
Sadly, the reality of our National standard of living being politically plundered will only set in after this election cycle is completed. :banghead

Randy,
Have you tried to order anything? I fell in love with the bikini fairing they show on pg. 14 of the .pdf english catalog. Now S/C BMW says those are prototype and can't be ordered yet. My understanding of German was enough for me to conclude they don't ship retail to the US, so I'm majorly disappointed.

Hi Paul -
If Wunderlich's offerings could generate enough interest on this Forum, and our MOA membership in general, an American distributor could be found for their products.
Given that many of their offerings in direct competition with BMW Motorrad's product line, finding a BWM Dealer to distribute Wunderlich's line of motorcycle products might prove to be more difficult. :fight

P.S. English Version: http://www.wunderlich.de/html/cat/eng/R1200S.pdf For other BMW models, adjust the URL accordingly.

Does anybody know anybody in Germany (or elsewhere) who can order from them and forward to the US? I have a hard time believing the folks at Santa Cruz when they tell me the bikini fairing isn't available. Maybe it can't be imported for some reason, but the catalog is showing two varieties in a selection of four colors each.
I understand the dealer/competition problem, but I think just from what I'm seeing in this thread, there's no lack of product(s) interest. I've purchased stuff direct from Hornig in Germany, I'd think Wunderlich would be more proactive to expand their business. The dollar may down the tubes but they get the deutchemarks they want one way or the other. They can sure have a bunch of mine if they'll ship me that fairing!!!

Liberals! What about the fact that our exports are increasing due to the lower dollar. That creates more jobs here in the Great USA!
