Does anyone know how to tell if your bike has integrated brakes or not???
I have a 2002 R1150gs with ABS.

If it has partially integrated brakes a simple brake test will tell you.
Put the bike on the centerstand and somehow block up the rear end so the rear tire is off the ground and secure. Start the bike and put it in 1st gear so the rear wheel is spinning. Then squeeze in the clutch and at the same time apply the front brake only. If your GS has partially integrated brakes then the rear wheel will stop because the system will also apply the rear brake with the front brake lever.
If it doesn't stop but only slows as it free-wheels then your bike has no integrated feature.
I'm guessing you don't have the owners manual because that would describe the braking system also.

Thanx for the info. I do have the manuals but neither 1 says if the brakes are intergrated.
I will check out the site you sent.
I do most of maintence on my bike. I really enjoy working on my machine. It's a good thing to know your bike just in case you are out in the middle of nowhere and you have a problem. Again thanx for your time
