This is my first post so I apologize if this topic has been beaten before. I couldn''t find anything in a search, so here goes.

I have an '07 R1200R, that I installed a Zisan Headlight modulator in this weekend and my dash went spastic. I had checked with Kisan about which model to use after reading the thread here, but they still sent the wrong one. They now say I need a "Z" suffixed part and to send my unit back for replacement. My question is - How do I clear the "LAMP" error code and yellow alert that persists, even though I've removed the Kisan unit and returned things to original?

Thanks,
Paul_F

Paul, welcome to the forum, and great choice of bike.. :-) The subject hasn't been beaten to death that I know of.. so..

The message should have gone away when you removed the Kisan modulator. If it's still illuminated there is something amiss with your headlight bulb or wiring. The warning is what could be called a transient warning - only there while the ZFE thinks the fault still exists. Make sure the connector to the bulb is firmly installed and the high-beam is lighting when turned on.

FWIW: I was somewhat involved with Kisan on developing the Z series of modulators - since I was a persistant PITA about the flashing fault light (which I did live with for about 2 months and 5,000 miles..) Andy at Kisan support is great to work with, and really made an effort to solve the problem.

FWIW - I'd suggest that you get the P115W-A2-Z, and mount it internally in the headlight housing. For a photo of how to:

Works great.
