BMW Comrades:

My top-side speedo lights are on the blink. The tach side is down and the speedo side is off and on. The bottom series of lights are solid.

So, do I replace these lights with new bulbs or go the LED route? A couple of considerations:

1. I hate messing with the speedo in general and I really hate the idea of dis-assembling the darn thing. I am assuming I have no choice in the matter - although I could ride at night biting a small flashlight between my teeth and aim at the speedo (see how much I hate messing with the speedo? I actually for a moment thought about this as an alternative)
2. I hate soldering small stuff even more than taking apart the speedo - so if soldering is involved its to everybody's benefit that someone else fix this problem. Who might do this Palo Alto?
3. So, knowing this stark restrictions and my shakey confidence in speedo repair, can I call on you who have been through this probelm to give me some guidance and advice?

I am always appreciative of any sort of comments and help! Everybody have a happy Thanksgiving!

I've had my K75's speedo apart many times. It's easy to change the bulbs because they pop in from behind.
