My gf just texted me that she's at our favorite Indonesian restaurant. If I hadn't just had a Runza (keep 'em stocked frozen in the freezer), I'd be salivating. Heck, I am anyway just thinking of spicy lamb curry.
We like sushi and sashimi, Indian (Japanese and Indian are my favorites). As for me, I like anything ethnic which between here and Omaha, we can get anything. Chain restaurants are out.
How about you all? What are your favorite foods or national cuisines?

Italian Foods- like Aunt Daisy used to make from scratch... just plain old spagetti and meatballs. A little bit of cursing in Italian while making it must have been the key, because nobody else makes it like Aunt Daisy.
My favorite food to cook myself is Italian.
I enjoy a good New York Style Pizza. (they just don't know how to make them here in Montana)
And finally- I've got a pretty nasty sweet tooth... Desert is the best part of any meal- no such thing as too much chocolate.

My grandma used to make potato dumplings the size of your fist. Two of these is a meal!! My mom tried to duplicate the recipe but never could get it right. We tell her she needs more cigarette ash in it. My grandma smoked wile cooking while my mom has never smoked. I think that is the key!
Hey Roy, I'll call next time I rev up the smoker and do ribs and brisket. I need an unbiased opinion as to it's quality.

I can't be unbiased when it's ribs, sorry. Those Potato dumplings sound good also.
Ash or not.
Now that I know the secret of the 2beers name, a shameless bribe is called for.
Let's see, was it Mclellan's? :laugh

MMMM CURRY.
I put curry on my popcorn.
Pop the popcorn, no microwave crap. Then shake on some garlic salt, curry, and cayenne. YUM.
Favorite food:
Anything ethnic. I like american cuisine as well but I really like non-american food. And I fully consider chinese food as served by your local take-out joint rather american.
Love Japanese food. So fresh. Lived in Japan 82-85. Awesome culinary experience and I was just a kid.
Indian.
Eastern Med.
Not a huge fan of italian unless it is really well done. Living in Jersey has ruined my taste for italian. That is what the bulk of the restaurants around here are.
Being a military brat really expanded my palate. My wife, when I met her was a meat and potatoes girl. Boiled meat and instant potatoes. All she was used to was plain food.
She now loves mexican, indian, japanese. Slowly but surely.

My all time favorite food would be home made whole grain bread fresh from the oven/bread machine slathered with real butter. When eating out I prefer Thai, Indian or Southwestern cuisine but we seldom do that as both Andrea & I love to cook and bake.

There aren't many things that I DON'T like...
From an ethnic point of view, I love good Mexican food. Yes, even here in Minnesota, there are some good Mexican restaurants. I love good chile rellenos, burritos, etc.
I also like Chinese/Viet Namese cuisine, I prefer the more authentic restaurants as opposed to the typical "chow mein" houses. There's a local place here that serves fantastic Viet Namese-style egg rolls, and "Saigon style" chow mein.
Someone brought up potato dumplings...mmmmmmm....boil them in ham broth, and serve them up with friend onions. My wife is actually better at making these than either her mother or her grandmother. Great comfort food.
When it comes to what could be considered traditonal U.S.A. food, well, there's really not much that I don't like. :clap

Any and all Mexican food.

Chinese.
My favorite dinner: filet and a Caeser salad (which is reputed to have originated in Tijuanna).
