Living in the Pacific North West, I am looking for the best rain tire for the K75C I just purchased. I'm not a knee dragger, just plain commuting.

The person i purchased the bike from indicated that when the bike was inspected by the local dealer, the tires were dry rotted.
(Hard to believe that after only 4 years the tires were shot, couldn't possibly be that someone was trying to sell new tires.)

Anyway, after reading most of the posts about tire selection in the forum I still haven't seen a clear feeling on rain tire selection.

Any Opinions?

Metzeler Lazertec front and rear would be my choice in a wet weather climate.

+1

Having done a lot of rain riding during the past 2 seasons, I can vouch for these too. :thumb

Just an added comment. I live in the Chihuahuan desert surrounded by chip sealed roads with approximately the surface of a course wood rasp. We get about 10 inches of rain a year - and have 330 or so sunny days a year. Two cloudy days in a row is unusual. So my tire choice on my K75 is not the Lazertec - I run the ME880s for tire life and because I seldom need to ride in the rain. Without even getting into the differences between tire brands, there are differences among the offerings of each of the tire companies. But to the question posed in this thread my answer was not the 880s I use - it was the Lasertec's I don't use down here, but in a rainy climate - you bet I would.
