Something is getting the juice out of the battery.
I just got a new battery and new voltage regulator and still I am having the same problem. I heard something about people having troubles with starter clutch but I do not know where is located and if that has something to do with this problem.
engine starts quickly after five minutes with the battery charger connected.

Step A is to determine whether there is battery drain, and step B is to determine which circuit might be doing it.

To determine if battery drain is happening you need to disconnect the ground battery cable and connect an ammeter or VOM set up to test up to 10 amps IN SERIES betwen the battery cable and the battery post.

With key and everything off the bike should pull only a few milliamps to kep the clock, etc, alive. If you see more than that then you need to find out which circuit.

You can begin this process by removing the fuses 1 at a time and see if the current draw goes away. When it does you wil have found the circuit.

Step c will be to find what device, wire, connector, etc is actually causing the drain.

You might not find it pulling fuses because some of the circuits are unfused. Take good notes and be systematic.

Or it might be a bad battery.
