Have you tried a search for this info on the Adventure Rider forums? (http://www.advrider.com/forums/)

I'll give you a short synopsis on what I've read about these subjects there and the UKGS'er formum. (http://www.ukgser.com/forums/)

Most stay away from the BMW bars and use either Hepco and Becker or Tourtech bars.

Knary posted a reply to someone asking about lights here (http://www.bmwmoa.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2154)

Hard bags - what's hard? You should be able to get BMW cases, Hepco and Becker, Jesse or Tourtech. The last three are made from metal. Lots of people complain about the BMW metal luggage breaking hinges.

You can probably score a pair of BMW System Cases for $350. You'll need the funny small shaped one on the right, but the left side can come from any BMW that uses the System Cases.

If you want to spend some money, Jesse's are nice for $1K. I don't see used ones very often, but I'm sure they're out there.
