Okay...1st BMW....1st oil change I've done on a BMW (about the 500th I've done on motors during my life)
Drained the oil, changed filter, new plug, new thrust washer, etc....no problems
When I start up the bike right after the change, engine sounded loud and metalicy for 2 strokes (like 1/2 second), stopped after that, runs and sounds fine, no leaks.
What's with the sound? Anyone experience this?

It's your cam chain tensioner getting pumped up and taking the slack out of the cam chain.
No worries.

Did you prefill the oil filter before you put it on?
If not - you heard the low oil pressure until the filter filled.

What they said, and perfectly normal.
I fill the filter about half the time. It is highly doubtful that the 3-5 seconds of no oil pressure will do any damage with modern oils.
One motorcycle magazine drained all the oil out of a Kawasaki sport bike and ran it for hours, with no harm at all. They finally gave up after half an hour of full throttle. I can't attest to the truth in it, but I did read the article and it was not the Aprile edition.:deal
