2002 k1200 lt does not want to idle. The bike has 40000 miles on it and this problem seemed to happen overnight.

the battery is charged the alternator output is in spec. the hall effects sensor has been checked and the ignition switch has been cleaned.

The bike seems to run ok if the throttle is held above idle(2000 rpm or so)but it will idle down until it just stops.

Question 1: Throttle actuation valve?
2: O2 sensor?

P.S. fuel pressure has been checked and is within spec.

Two things to check. Check the idle screw assembily on the throttle plate rail. Make sure the screw and bracket have not come loose.

If it boggs down until you can get it over 2k RPM you might have a cracked plug.

Thanks for the input.
Plugs have been checked and plug wires are new.

The idle screw appears to be intact. I did raise the idle setting by using the throttle cable, but the same thing happens, I am at a impass.

Dirty, gummed fuel injectors?
